This is another part of a walk around model of the Ramparts and defences of Old Portsmouth. Again like the Square Tower model I have based it around the s as this was a time of change. I've made a few updates added cannons, a shingle beach, also there is now an entrance to the caponier that flanks the moat in front of the King James Gate. Hope you like .

This walk pases through the only resort on the Solent Way, Southsea. The Solent Way follows the promenade from Old Portsmouth along Southsea sea front, passing Clarence Pier, Southsea Hoverport, The War Memorial, Blue Reef Aquarium and South Parade Pier. Beyond South Parade Pier the promenade becomes much quieter and as you get towards the end. Portsmouth (/ ˈ p ɔːr t s m ə θ / ()) is an English port city primarily built on Portsea Island in the county of is also known as Pompey, a nickname shared with HMNB Portsmouth and the Portsmouth Football United Kingdom's only island city, it is 70 miles ( km) south-west of London and 19 miles (31 km) south-east of Southampton.

Amazing part of Portsmouth and a must see for any visitors to the area. Fantastic walk along the Hotwalls with amazing views of the Harbour entrance. Plenty of seating means you can watch the ships and boats of all sizes coming and going! Lovely cafe and some good pubs too. Parking can be difficult and public transport to this part not great TripAdvisor reviews. It’s a 1 minute walk to the shops, bars and restaurants at Gunwharf Quays and a 5 minute walk from the Historic Dockyards and the Mary Rose. The checking in at the Lady Hamilton is not an issue as it’s only 2 minutes away and the staff there were really helpful including giving us a car parking permit for outside Old Victory House/10().
